The University of Ottawa’s Telfer Executive MBA program has been named the world’s No. 1 Global Executive MBA program for the second year in a row, as ranked by CEO Magazine earlier this month.
The system used to generate the rankings of post-secondary schools across the globe was weighted by fact-based criteria such as quality of faculty, class size, price of education and other factors.
Sophia Leong, executive director of Telfer’s Executive MBA program, appeared in a video to deliver the news to the school’s alumni community last week.

She called the program “very intensive” and “very challenging for professional and personal” reasons. Leong described how the win is a “true testament” to what Telfer’s Executive MBA program is all about. The program works with more than 60 client organizations per year and Leong credits the program’s successes to the Telfer alumni community.
In the video, Leong encouraged alumni, faculty, client organizations and current students to share the celebration with their respective communities. Leong said the announcement is a “call to action” for celebration among the community.
