The organizers of Ottawa’s annual TiECon Canada conference have extended the deadline an extra week for the 2019 pitchfest, which promises an even bigger prize than previous years’ events.
Startups now have until Sept. 30 to apply to pitch at TiECon Canada 2019, to be held from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1. Applications are open to any Canadian company with less than $5 million in revenues to date, but they must also be registered to attend TiECon this year.
While last year’s winner, Aetonix, walked away with $25,000 in cash and in-kind services, TiECon is kicking the prize up a notch in 2019. Pitching startups will have a shot at up to $100,000 in cash (pending the usual due diligence) and services valued at $50,000.
