Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa welcomed more than 150 guests to its 130th anniversary celebration last Friday. The soirée brought together members of Ottawa’s diplomatic, civic and culinary communities for a night of international flavours and celebration. The evening featured 35-plus sweet and savoury canapés, taking guests on a culinary journey through Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, India, the Middle East, the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Inspiring welcome speeches were delivered by Mat Beausoleil, award-winning food critic and Ottawa nightlife council member; Victoria Lehman, general manager of Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa; Stéphanie Plante, councillor for Rideau-Vanier; Sarah Laturnus, senior manager of travel media relations with Ottawa Tourism; and Chef Yann Le Coz, head chef instructor at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa. Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa also received an official certificate on behalf of the mayor of Ottawa recognizing its long-standing culinary legacy.
