Ottawa golfers hit the links at Loch March Golf Club on Sept. 24 for a day of friendly competition, good food and fundraising at the Mann Lawyers/Escape Manor Fall Classic in support of the Ottawa Network for Education (ONFE).
The charity golf tournament, kindly supported by BMO, brought foursomes together for 18 holes of scramble format golf, with plenty of time between shots for catching up, networking and enjoying the late-summer setting. Golfers from sponsors Marland Team and Logan Katz LLP joined in the fun.
Following a hot or iced coffee provided by Café Apero and a buffet lunch (sponsored by McCay Duff LLP), golfers made their way around the course before gathering for a candy bar (sponsored by MNP), drinks (sponsored by Engel & Volkers) and a buffet dinner (sponsored by Bergeron Clifford), along with a silent auction, prizes and plenty of conversation adding to the relaxed atmosphere.
The tournament offered a chance to step away from the office for a day while supporting ONFE and its work in Ottawa schools and the wider community. On the course, Escape Manor set up multiple challenges; off the course golfers enjoyed networking and drinks, challenging the Almonte Arm Wrestling Club or relaxing to the smooth music of Beats’n Keys (sponsored by Watson Di Primio Steel).
The day mixed business connections with a little friendly competition, and plenty of reasons to stick around after the final putt.
