TUC Managed IT Solutions announced this week it has appointed Marco La Vecchia its vice-president of sales.
Mr. LaVecchia comes to TUC after spending almost two and a half years as AVG’s vice-president of channel sales. Before that, he had spent about eight and a half years with N-Able Technologies, where he was director of sales for North America.
“Executive leaders of his calibre just don’t come available that often,” TUC chief executive Mark Scott said in a statement. “Marco’s track record for building and leading high-energy, results-driven sales teams is well known in the managed services industry across the globe.”

Mr. La Vecchia will lead TUC’s North American sales strategy, tasked with building and managing the direct and channel sales team targeting IT service organizations that serve small- and medium-sized enterprises, the company said.
Mr. La Vecchia was the top local executive at AVG when it moved into its new centre of excellence in Kanata in June.
“We wanted to create that atmosphere where people could come in and realize, ‘Listen, I want to go work there and I like the people,’” he said at the time.
