Coming off a record first-quarter profit, Kinaxis has brought in a veteran finance executive to replace longtime CFO Blaine Fitzgerald.
The Kanata-based maker of supply-chain management software announced this week it has hired Herb Yeh as its new chief financial officer and chief strategy officer.
Yeh assumes the CFO’s chair from Fitzgerald, who left Kinaxis in May after six years with the company. Yeh has also been named chief strategy officer, meaning he will lead all finance, accounting, investor relations, corporate strategy and corporate development efforts, the company said in a news release Monday.
“Herb has spent his career working with boards and management teams at their most critical inflection points in enterprise software, and we are thrilled to have him join Kinaxis,” the firm’s CEO, Razat Gaurav, said in the release.
“He has followed Kinaxis and the broader supply chain technology sector closely for more than a decade, and that depth of perspective, paired with his expertise advising companies on capital allocation, strategic finance, M&A and global growth, is exactly what we need as we build and scale Kinaxis for the next phase of innovation and growth. Herb’s experience helping companies navigate complex strategic and financial decisions will be instrumental in creating long-term value for our customers and shareholders.”
Yeh, who earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a doctorate in law from the University of Pennsylvania, brings more than 25 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience with various global technology companies.
Most recently, he served as senior managing director at New York-based investment banking advisory firm Evercore, where he helped lead the firm’s technology strategic advisory practice with a focus on software. Yeh worked with senior management teams and boards on areas such as capital allocation and M&A.
Before joining Evercore, Yeh served as global co-head of technology investment banking and vice-chairman of banking, capital markets and advisory at financial services giant Citi. He previously held senior roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and began his career as a corporate and securities lawyer at New York law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
Yeh joins Kinaxis as sales of the company’s supply-chain planning tools are booming amid what Gaurav described this spring as “heightened levels of volatility in supply and demand” due to events such as the conflict in Iran.
“The opportunity ahead is significant and the latest innovations in data architectures in AI are providing us (with) a tremendous tailwind,” Gaurav told analysts on a conference call in May.
Kinaxis, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, turned a net profit of $29.4 million in the three-month period ending March 31, a record for the first quarter. The firm also signed a record number of new customers in the first three months of 2026, including its biggest contract ever in terms of total value and annual value.
Yeh becomes a key figure in Kinaxis’s C-suite as the firm looks to continue that momentum.
"Kinaxis has built something genuinely differentiated: a platform that sits at the centre of how enterprises make their most complex decisions," Yeh said. "The supply chain planning market is being transformed by AI, and Kinaxis is exceptionally well-positioned to lead that transformation. I look forward to partnering with Razat and the team to build on that foundation and deliver lasting value for customers and shareholders alike."
