Public Works is seeking a “maintenance service” contractor for heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment for several buildings in the national capital.
Awarding of the five-year contract will be subject to several security requirements, noted documents posted on procurement site Merx, which is commonly used by the federal government.
The contractor must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week with the capability to make it to the site within two hours of an emergency call.

Buildings included under the contract are 131 Queen St., 747 Belfast Rd., the Confederation Building at 244 Wellington St., the Victoria Building at 140 Wellington St., and the CIBC building.
The winning proponent will be selected on the basis of meeting the “mandatory criteria” as well as having the lowest submitted price. Bids close Sept. 5.
