Best Ottawa Business Awards nominations now open

The Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade are once again looking to recognize the city’s top corporate performers. 

The annual BOBs – Best Ottawa Business Awards – honour the region’s leading local companies, highlighting success stories across various sectors and departments. 

The awards spotlight the innovation, leadership and prosperity of dozens of companies in Ottawa to determine who is driving economic growth in the nation’s capital.

“Every year, our award recipients inspire others to strive for excellence and serve as a point of community pride,” says Sueling Ching, president and CEO of the Ottawa Board of Trade. “This has been a challenging year for many, and so it may be even more vital to honour our business and community leaders.”

Nominations for the following categories are now open:

  • Best new business;
  • Best performance in exporting;
  • Best performance in HR; 
  • Best performance in marketing;
  • Best performance in sales; 
  • Best performance in customer experience;
  • Best performance in social entrepreneurship;
  • Kanata North #SeriousTechLivesHere – Company of the Year; 
  • Kanata North #SeriousTechLivesHere – Team of the Year

You can nominate your workplace online, as self-nominations are encouraged. The BOBs organizing committee will also be selecting winners for: CEO of the Year; CFO of the Year; Newsmaker of the Year; Deals of the Year; best performance in co-op; and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The deadline for nominations is Sept. 25. Recipients will be honoured in November, with more details about the awards show to come.
