The Ottawa Business Journal and Ottawa Board of Trade are looking for your nominations to recognize the city’s top corporate performers.

Each year, the Best Ottawa Business Awards – commonly known as the BOBs – honour the region’s leading local companies at the city’s premier business awards gala.

These awards seek to recognize the most successful and innovative companies and business leaders who are driving economic growth and prosperity in the nation’s capital.

Each year, dozens of companies from all sectors are nominated for their contributions to Ottawa’s business community and feted for their achievements in various categories. New this year is the best not-for-profit award, which joins the following returning categories:

  • Best business;

  • Best new business;

  • Best performance in exporting;

  • Best performance in HR;

  • Best performance in marketing;

  • Best performance in sales;

  • Best performance in customer experience;

  • Best performance in social entrepreneurship;

  • Best performance in sustainability;

  • Kanata North #SeriousTechLivesHere – Company of the Year; and

  • Kanata North #SeriousTechLivesHere – Team of the Year

Nominations are now open and can be submitted online here. Self-nominations are encouraged.

Other award categories selected by the BOBs organizing committee include: CEO of the Year; CFO of the Year; Newsmaker of the Year; Deal of the Year; best performance in co-op; and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The deadline for nominations is Sept. 27. Recipients will be honoured at a gala at the Westin Ottawa Hotel on Friday, Nov. 22. Tickets for the black-tie optional event are available for purchase online here.
