Sustainable Development Technology Canada issued a call Wednesday for anyone interested in funding for cleantech development projects through its SD Tech Fund and SD Natural Gas Fund.
The tech fund supports technologies that address issues with clean air, soil and water, as well as climate change. Its priorities are responsible natural resource development, remote and northern community utility systems, energy efficiency for industry and communities and next-generation technologies with longer-term benefits for the country.
“Cleantech represents that double bottom line, bringing together environmental goals and economic activity in a way that generates jobs and opportunity across Canada,” SDTC president and CEO Leah Lawrence said in a statement, adding a recent report said Canadian cleantech was a $12-billion market.
