Windmill’s Chaudière project gets final green light

The shovels will go in the ground next year at the former Domtar lands at Chaudière Falls, now that Gatineau city council has approved the Windmill Developments project there.

Council unanimously gave the go-ahead Tuesday night, a little more than a month after Ottawa city council also approved the project.

“We couldn’t be happier with the Council’s reaction to our proposal,” Windmill partner Rodney Wilts said in a statement. “We’ve been very encouraged by the support from the Council and planning staff.”

The developer will perform a site decontamination site and set up a sales office before construction gets underway.
