Scott Bradley

Scott Bradley is the new Director Global Government Relations for Open Text Corporation. Scott will be leading outreach with Governments and industry stakeholders in Canada, and working to coordinate OpenText’s global outreach and investment efforts in strategic markets globally. OpenText is Canada’s largest software company and on track to be one of the 10 largest software companies in the World.

With over 20 years experience in Technology and Telecommunications, and over 25 years experience in Corporate Affairs for regulated industries, Scott has been deeply involved at an executive level in a number of the more challenging Canadian public policy and corporate government relations files of the past two decades, working with BDO Canada, Huawei Canada, Bell Canada and Canadian Airlines. Scott sees a similar challenge, and opportunity, working with Government stakeholders in harnessing technology to better serve Canadians and drive Canada’s sustainable economic growth.

Throughout his career, Scott has been actively engaged with the industry associations and stakeholder organizations that champion sector issues, most recently as a member of the Board of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association from 2015-2019. In his capacity with the CWTA, Scott helped to establish the 5G Canada Council, and was the first Chair of the organization. Scott has also been a regular commentator and public speaker on Canada-China, and served for three years as a member of the Board of the Canada China Business Council.

Scott was recognized by IT World Canada’s CDN Magazine as one of Canada’s Top 25 newsmakers in ICT, and named on several occasions by Hill Times as one of Canada’s Top 100 Government Relations professionals.

Scott resides in Ottawa with his spouse, Fiona Smith Bradley, and three teenage children. He spends his free time volunteering at the Rideau Canoe Club, and was proud to serve as Co-Chair of the 2021 Canoe Kayak Canada Sprint National Championships. In the off-season, Scott has long been the Sunday Morning Crew Chief and VP of Going All In at the Fisher Park Outdoor Rink.
