An Ottawa leadership training firm says it hopes an upcoming contract with a new Mexican partner will lead the local firm to land additional work in Colombia and elsewhere in South America.

Next month, officials from Lead Action Training will certify Mexico City-based Artificio Human Talent on its software assessment tools and other services. A spokesperson says the revenues from the partnership could reach up to $30,000.

The Ottawa firm hopes that the deal could lead to more international work. The Mexican firm also works in Colombia and Lead Action Training hopes its tools could be resold through its Latin American network.

The Ottawa-based company is primarily led by a team of former public servants and says it’s previously delivered workshops to clients including Labatt, Parmalat, CGI and Arnprior Aerospace, among others.

The Mexican opportunity arose after Francois Gagnon, the president of Lead Action Training, met representatives from Artificio Human Talent while both were working on contracts with the Belize Social Security Board.
