The YMCA-YWCA of the National Capital Region is planning to open a new location at the Carlingwood Mall.
The 23,500-square foot location will include a pool, strength-training facility, social spaces and facilities for children.
The new Y will be located in the downstairs area of the mall.

According to a press release from the YMCA, renovations on the space are scheduled to begin immediately, with the new facility expected to open in January 2014.
