Quick Pick opened a sixth location this month in Smiths Falls at 11 Chambers St.

Quick Pick, an overstock and liquidation store, opened a new location in Smiths Falls earlier this month and has plans to continue expanding across Eastern Ontario, company officials say.

Quick Pick sells overstock and returned products from online and wholesale retailers, including Amazon. It has four stores in Ottawa-Gatineau and the company has branched out to new territory with a store in Kingston and now Smiths Falls. An Orleans storefront is opening on Saturday, the Ottawa-based franchise company confirms.

“Smiths Falls was chosen as one of our locations due to its beautiful community and numerous requests from our Smiths Falls customers,” said Quick Pick founder Nidaa Yassin. “Our mission is to provide the best, affordable deals in town and we believe our innovative bin store concept fills a gap in the Canadian market.”

Dedicated to the “best deals” on new products, Quick Pick sets a fixed price for all freshly stocked bin items, which are restocked weekly. As the week goes on, prices lower, sometimes to as little as 99 cents.

With an increase in online shopping and proximity to Amazon warehouses in the region, Yassin said Quick Pick has seen rapid growth since opening.

The 19-year-old entrepreneur started the company as a continuation of her father’s dream of opening a bin store, she said, where “every day is your lucky day.” The Smiths Falls location is a “significant” part of the company’s expansion into the region. Ultimately, Quick Pick aims to franchise across Canada, said Yassin.

“We are excited to confirm that we have definite plans to open more locations in Eastern Ontario,” said Yassin. “Cities like Brockville, Petawawa and Cornwall are indeed on our list as we continue to grow and bring our unique shopping experience to new communities.

“We believe in transparency and consistency, and we work hard to ensure that our customers always receive the best possible deals.”
