Jason Anbara

Twelve months after receiving Ottawa’s Forty Under 40 award, Jason Anbara is proving that true success goes far beyond business metrics. While his real estate and mortgage ventures have continued to expand across Ottawa and Gatineau — now approaching 400 rental units — his deeper focus has been reinvesting in the people and places that shaped him.

“Being recognized was an honour,” Jason reflects, “but more importantly, it was a reminder: if you can make an impact, you should.”

Over the past year, Jason has contributed more than $50,000 to local sports teams, schools, festivals, churches, and major community institutions including CHEO, the Ottawa Food Bank, and the Bruyère Foundation. These contributions span multiple neighbourhoods, from Aylmer to Nepean, reflecting his firm belief that strong communities are built at the grassroots level.

As a father, his connection to CHEO is deeply personal — and he does more than donate. He mobilizes networks, hosts events, and champions the hospital’s mission across professional and social spaces. This hands-on involvement is part of what sets Jason apart: giving back is woven into his entrepreneurial DNA.

In 2025, Jason joined the Board of Directors of the Bruyère Hospital Foundation, affirming his growing civic role. “Bruyère provides care when people need it most — supporting their mission is a privilege,” he says. His board appointment reflects not just philanthropic interest, but a long-term commitment to public service.

Deeply rooted in the Aylmer sector of Gatineau, Jason remains actively involved in the Lebanese community, supports youth initiatives, and invests heavily in local sports leagues — a nod to the formative role athletics played in his own development. “That’s where you learn discipline, leadership, and belonging,” he says. “Every kid should have that chance.”

Today, as CEO of Northlend Financial and founder of several businesses, Jason continues to prioritize access. With over 85 lending partners, he ensures clients — regardless of background — have a fair shot at home ownership. His mantra remains simple: When banks say no, we say yes.

A year after Forty Under 40, Jason isn’t chasing awards — he’s building momentum. Through mentorship, sponsorship, and civic leadership, he’s showing what it means to lead with purpose.
