Industry vet joins Kinaxis as CTO

Just a week after John Sicard took over as CEO of Kinaxis, the company has added a new chief technology officer.

Jack Noppé was named to the position Thursday, bringing more than 20 years of experience to his new role.

“I am extremely excited to be joining a company so focused on innovation,” Mr. Noppé said in a statement. “There is a real opportunity to continue to drive achievement and growth at the company through new product initiatives.”

Mr. Noppé’s career began in 1990 with a seven-year stint at Synergy Computing. He has had several stops along the way, including almost 10 years at Cognos and IBM, where he led product management teams. He also served as an adviser to Shopify in 2013 and was most recently chief product officer at Toronto-based Terapeak.

Kinaxis said Mr. Noppé will play a “key part” in establishing its “guiding principles in long-term product vision and strategy.” His team will drive the firm’s “product roadmap,” the company added.

Mr. Sicard said he was “thrilled” to welcome Mr. Noppé to his executive team.

“His immense experience in developing and delivering successful product growth strategies will be instrumental in helping Kinaxis continue to develop leading supply chain solutions,” Mr. Sicard said in a statement.

The company also announced that its senior vice-president of customer success operations, Ed Shepherdson, will have an expanded role leading product and solution development as executive vice-president of products and services operations.

“With the level of experience and expertise we’ve assembled on our leadership team, Kinaxis is well positioned to drive continued growth and increased profitability across all facets of the company,” Mr. Sicard said.
