Fuel Industries announced Wednesday former president Chris Greenfield has returned to his role after 11 years away from the company.
The digital agency with offices in Los Angeles and Ottawa said Mr. Greenfield will lead the firm’s expansion of “delivery of gamification” as well as its customer rewards and loyalty-building experiences.
“Chris was instrumental in establishing Fuel’s foundation over 10 years ago,” founder and CEO Mike Burns said in a statement. “After an impactful decade making his mark at some of the leading Omnicom agency banners, we’re thrilled to welcome Chris back to Fuel to take us to the next level.”

Mr. Greenfield has held a number of jobs since leaving Fuel in 2004. At his most recent stop at Ipsos ASI, he was credited with helping the company become the third-largest global research firm in the world, Fuel said in a statement.
Mr. Greenfield said Fuel’s Ottawa office is right where he wants to be.
“My plan is to build on Fuel’s core strengths … and drive the business even higher,” he said in a statement, adding those strengths include creative innovation, in-depth business intelligence and constantly evolving web and mobile technology platforms.
Fuel has added a number of high-profile customers to its client roster recently, including NASCAR and the National Football League.
Mr. Greenfield will oversee both the Los Angeles office and the Ottawa office, managing a staff of 150 people.
