Public Works says it is looking for a contractor to provide auditing services on three massive construction projects underway in the Parliamentary precinct.
In a solicitation notice published to online tendering website Merx, the federal government says it is seeking “an audit opinion and a professional compliance and assurance audit services related to contractual payments and compliance with specified tendering procedures for three large construction management contracts for the Parliamentary precinct.”
The solicitation notice does not name the specific jobs to be probed. However, the main projects underway on and around Parliament Hill include:

– A $143-million construction management contract for the second phase of renovations to the Wellington Building, awarded to EllisDon Corp.;
– A $74.25-million construction management contract for the rehabilitation of the former Bank of Montreal building at 144 Wellington St. , awarded to EllisDon Corp.
The solicitation for audit services closes on Aug. 29 and is only open to pre-qualified vendors with a professional audit support services supply arrangement with the federal government.
