The federal government is looking to pay technology contractors in seven different areas to help implement a border agreement with the United States, including positions for web architects, project management and business analysts.
The government hopes the contractors will help remove some of the obstacles to increased trade between Canada and the United States, a goal set out in the Beyond the Border Action Plan the two countries agreed to in 2011.
The government is looking for up to 21 different contractors, according to a post on government contracting site Merx. The contracts will be for two years each, with options for the federal government for the following five years.
