Ottawa-based Espial Group (TSX:ESP) has added a sizeable customer to its ranks, announcing Wednesday that a North American cable operator has signed on to its Elevate video platform.
According to a release, the unnamed customer has more than one million video subscribers on its service. To put that in perspective, streaming giant Netflix reportedly had 118 million global subscribers as of last month, and Bell’s streaming service CraveTV passed the one million mark in Canada roughly a year ago.
Espial’s Elevate platform lets operators offer features such as voice-activated navigation and YouTube integration with their video services.
