Three of the largest general contractors in Ottawa are in the running to build the city’s new central library in LeBreton Flats.
The city said Thursday that it’s prequalified EllisDon, PCL and Pomerleau and will invite the firms to submit proposals for initial shoring, excavation and site remediation work that’s expected to commence this fall.
Additionally, the city will be releasing the tender for the main project construction to the three companies in early 2021, with building slated to start that summer.
