Bergeron Clifford Injury Lawyers: Exclusively dedicated to personal injury law

For more than 25 years, Bergeron Clifford Injury Lawyers has helped clients rebuild their lives after serious injuries

Navigating the aftermath of a severe injury requires more than standard legal advice – it demands deep specialization and a compassionate approach to personal recovery. For more than 25 years, Bergeron Clifford Injury Lawyers has operated with a singular, unwavering focus: personal injury law.

Founded in 1999 by Ted Bergeron and Chris Clifford in Kingston, the firm have since expanded and now have offices across Eastern Ontario in Kingston, Pembroke, Carleton Place, Perth and Ottawa.

An exclusive focus on injury law

Bergeron Clifford focuses exclusively on injury law. The firm represents individuals facing life-altering situations including motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, slip-and-falls, and long-term disability denials. This dedication has earned the firm a spot among the Top 10 Personal Injury Law Firms by Canadian Lawyer magazine for nine consecutive years.

At Bergeron Clifford, the focus extends way beyond legal representation. The firm’s lawyers and staff understand that a serious injury affects every aspect of a person’s life. This results in an approach which combines legal expertise with compassion, ensuring clients receive the support, guidance and advocacy that they need throughout the recovery process.

“All we do is injury law,” is the firm’s motto, and this hyper-focus allows them to channel every resource toward securing favourable outcomes. However, their work extends beyond legal files. The 4 partners, Ted Bergeron, Chris Clifford, Gavin Cosgrove and Warren WhiteKnight, lead a dedicated team that helps injured individuals and their families access critical medical care, rehabilitation services and personalized recovery plans.

Major changes to Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule

As of July 1, major changes to Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) are now in effect. These changes to auto insurance policies reduce many mandatory benefits and switch them to optional for drivers across Ontario. Up until now, insurance has covered things like medical and rehab expenses, attendant care, income replacement and death and funeral benefits.

Because many insurance providers have not actively communicated these reductions, the firm urges Ontario drivers and business professionals to review their auto policies to everyone has the right protection in case of an accident. Giving back to the community by sharing knowledge

Community integration is also central to the firm’s identity. Bergeron Clifford frequently hosts educational seminars for health, legal, and business professionals to ensure that industry partners are up to date on the ever evolving legal landscape.

These partnerships are crucial for Bergeron Clifford to learn what is needed and how we can properly care for our clients.

For injured individuals in the Ottawa area seeking a legal partner that prioritizes accessibility, the firm’s lawyers travel to meet clients wherever they feel most comfortable, whether at home, in the hospital, or at one of their 5 locations.
