Adam Miron

Adam Miron, LL.D. (hon) has been appointed Co-Chair of Invest Ottawa’s board of directors. He will help guide the economic development agency with fellow co-chair Mayor Mark Sutcliffe and Vice Chair France Hébert. Adam will also preside over Invest Ottawa’s Executive Committee.

Miron is a proven entrepreneur, having founded a company that went on to exceed a billion-dollar valuation. Six years after co-founding this multi-billion-dollar startup (valued at $2.9 billion in April 2019), Adam transitioned from his operational role at the age of 35 in 2019. Adam holds the Interim-CEO position and serves as Chair at the digital asset custody startups, Brane Inc. and Brane Trust.

Additionally, Adam contributes as the Chair of the Board of The National Capital Children’s Botanical Garden and Chair of the Fundraising Committee for the Ingenium Foundation. He also holds a position on the Board of Directors. Adam’s board service extends to a variety of companies, from fledgling startups to established multi-million dollar corporations. Simultaneously, he maintains an active investment portfolio, including several other startups.

In 2019, Adam became the Entrepreneur in Residence at Thompson Rivers University, the largest business school in Western Canada. H collaborates with faculty, students, and community entrepreneurs.

Adam authored the book “Billion Dollar Startup” in 2021. The book quickly rose to prominence as a Toronto Star National Best Seller, an Amazon #1, and was listed among the top 5 best business books of the year by Chapters Indigo. It also won the Nation Business Book of the Year award in 2022.

Thompson Rivers University recognized Adam’s significant contributions to the business world and his commitment to education and mentorship in 2022 by awarding him a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa. This honor acknowledged his service as Entrepreneur in Residence at TRU and his tireless efforts to foster success in others.

Adam and his wife Meena reside in Ottawa’s Wellington West with their three daughters.
