An Ottawa developer is proposing to build two highrises with more than 500 rental units near the Canada Science and Technology Museum.
In an application recently filed with the city, Manor Park Capital says it wants to construct two towers of 25 and 20 storeys at 1802 and 1804 St. Laurent Blvd., near the intersection of Lancaster Road about three blocks west of the museum.
The plan calls for a total of 512 rental apartments. The proposal includes 445 parking spaces, most of which would be in an underground garage. The development would also feature two amenity spaces as well as a privately owned public space along St. Laurent Boulevard.

Manor Park is requesting a zoning amendment to increase height limits on the property from the current 30 metres to 77 metres. The builder is also seeking relief from landscape buffering and wall frontage requirements.
