As we approach the end of another year, I wish you and your family, health, and wellness. On behalf of your Ottawa Board of Trade board of directors, staff, and volunteer team, thank you to our local business and community leaders for your ongoing contributions to our community. Thank you for the care, innovation, and resilience you have demonstrated during this challenging time. Your commitment to health protocols is a game changer for all of us. We are indebted to you.
Hopefully, you are up to date on our work through our new releases, newsletters and website. We have created several supports for your business to be informed, stay safe, save money, and promote your business. In an effort to support businesses through the pandemic, we will extend rapid test distribution and POST Promise through to the end of March 2022. You will know that we have been advocating for business at every level of government for the right programs and policies to support our businesses and plan for a strong recovery. These last twenty-two months have taught us many lessons and we have an opportunity to build forward better, more inclusively and sustainably. We know that everyone has a role to play and that the private sector will drive the right growth so we can compete in the global marketplace.

We recently hosted the President & CEO of the Ontario Chamber, Rocco Rossi, as our keynote at our AGM. He shares a story of why policy matters to each one of us. We are approaching a time of immense opportunity to influence important change and your Board of Trade is at the ready. However, the voice of business is only as strong as its membership.
