A developer has filed plans to build a nine-storey mixed-use development at a prominent Westboro intersection.
According to planning documents, the new development at the northeast corner of Richmond Road and Churchill Avenue would feature commercial space on the ground floor, residential units on the eight floors above and indoor and outdoor amenity space on the roof.
The builder behind the project is listed as Richmond Churchill Limited Partnership, while Ottawa-based InterRent REIT is named on the site plan.

The site – which consists of five properties at 319, 325 and 327 Richmond Rd., 381 Churchill Ave. N. and 380 Winona Ave. – is located near the heart of the Westboro commercial district, about a block east of Mountain Equipment Co-op.
The properties are currently occupied by an auto garage, a two-storey duplex, a two-storey mixed-use building and an apartment building.
The proposal calls for 184 residential units and underground parking for 130 vehicles.
The Richmond Road property is designated traditional mainstreet, allowing for a mix of commercial and residential uses. Building heights are limited to 15 metres under current zoning, meaning the developers will require council approval for the 30-metre project.
