What could be better than spending an evening rubbing shoulders with some of Ottawa’s biggest sports stars?

Doing it while supporting a great cause.

On Feb. 11, the Ottawa Senators Foundation will host the Ferguslea Properties Senators Soirée at the Hilton Lac Leamy.

The Mardis Gras-themed bash will give guests the opportunity to meet Ottawa Senators players, alumni and senior management. Guests are encouraged to wear purple, green or gold, as well as feathers and beads.

“As an evening of entertainment, it’s just wonderful for any Ottawa Senators fan,” says Barbara Crook, a well-known Ottawa philanthropist and member of the foundation’s board. “It’s also great to know that we are raising money for the amazing work that the Senators Foundation does in the community.”

All proceeds raised from the Senators Soirée will go to the foundation, which supports recreational and educational programming in addition to important healthcare initiatives for children and youth across the region.

“There are a lot of galas in Ottawa and a lot of great causes, but this is the only gala where you are going to have a chance to meet the Ottawa Senators players,” says Crook. She also points out that there are always many unique prizes to be won during the evening’s raffle and silent and live auctions.

Past attendees have won an in-home catered meal with Senators players as well as a chance to be included in a full team photo.

Sponsorship opportunites and tickets are still available. Sponsorships include a table seated with a guest of honour from the Sens.
