The West Ottawa Board of Trade has appointed a new executive committee: Mischa Kaplan, chair; Wayne French, vice-chair; Michael Posternak, second vice-chair; Jerome Pulcine, treasurer; Mark Nisbett, past chair.
BluMetric Environmental Inc. has appointed Dan Scroggins as interim CEO of the company. Mr. Scroggins is currently the company’s senior vice-president of research and innovation. He comes to the role with 35 years of experience in the water and wastewater treatment field.
Alex Kassatly was appointed general manager of Le Germain Hotel Ottawa, which will open its doors downtown this winter. Mr. Kassatly has decades of hotel experience, notably as general manager of Château Frontenac and Manoir Richelieu, in Quebec City, and other hotels internationally.

The Hydropothecary Corp. was awarded two awards for best new cannabis product at the inaugural annual Canadian Cannabis Awards gala. Hydropothecary took first place for its Decarb product, and Elixir earned third place.
