Horgan and Trudeau don’t see eye-to-eye on the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion. Trudeau has endorsed the project, while Horgan has vowed to do what he can to prevent it from proceeding.
The earnings parade: It’s going to be a heavy earnings week, with many companies in the forestry, mining and oil and gas sectors reporting. Among those releasing their latest quarterly results are Barrick Gold, Goldcorp, Suncor Energy, Cenovus Energy and Canfor.
Taking over Tembec: Shareholders in Quebec forestry products firm Tembec will vote Thursday on a friendly takeover offer by Florida-based Rayonier Advanced Materials. But the deal appears in doubt.
