Local construction firms have the chance to bid on an interprovincial sidewalk repair project worth up to $1 million.
The sidewalk on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge, which spans the Ottawa River between Ottawa and Quebec, is “in an advanced state of disrepair” and requires rehabilitation, stated a summary of the work on BuyandSell.gc.ca, a federal government procurement site.
“We will stabilize the critical areas using wire mesh and/or localized concrete repairs, including removal of loose and unsound concrete,” the solicitation added.
