Orléans coffee shop Art of Bean Coffee Co. is closing at the end of June, co-owners Elizabeth Iverson and Jordan Campbell announced on social media earlier this week.
In their post, Iverson and Campbell said June 21 will be the last day for the popular shop.
“This tiny shop began with a simple purpose: to create a space where community, connection and coffee could come together in a meaningful way. In reality, this special place has far exceeded anything that we could have imagined and we are so proud of what we have built here,” the co-owners said via social media.

Located at 16-1439 Youville Dr., Art of Bean opened in October 2021. It became known for collaborating with other Orléans businesses, including sharing a space with Allegro Music Schools and The Niche Ottawa Gallery to help populate the shop with local art; working with sandwich shop LunchBox to create a menu of pressed sandwiches; and Brown Bag Coffee Roasters to supply single-origin specialty coffee.
Iverson and Campbell didn’t give a reason for the shop’s closure but said there were “great things ahead” for The Niche Ottawa Gallery space.
In a statement about the coffee shop’s closure, gallery founder and curator Morgan Hamilton-Kirk said the gallery will continue to operate.
“We’ll be using the coming months to renovate, revitalize and reimagine our gallery space, with the goal of serving our vibrant creative community even better and deepening our commitment to welcome and connection,” Hamilton-Kirk said in a statement.
“It’s been an honour to share space with such passionate people who infused our space with the warmth of a good cuppa,” Hamilton-Kirk added.
