ADGA Group Consultants, a decades-old defence services company in Ottawa, has added a video security firm to its offerings with its latest acquisition.
The company announced last week that it has acquired Extravision Video Technologies. The acquired firm is based in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, but has offices in Ottawa as well as Montreal and Toronto.
Extravision develops and designs video surveillance technologies, in addition to system integration services. The firm has 35 employees and more than $10 million in total sales, according to a Government of Canada profile last updated in 2016.

In a video announcing the deal, ADGA Group CEO Françoise Gagnon says the acquisition came after a successful partnership between the two firms. In the same video, Extravision president André Fiset says the firm could “do OK” growing organically, but joining ADGA came with higher market potential.
An Ottawa-based firm with more than 700 employees across the country, ADGA Group Consultants provides services to clients in defence, security and enterprise computing.
At the end of the video, Gagnon teases another “big announcement” coming on April 1.
