Dallas-based Improving has acquired Ottawa’s YoppWorks, a digital solutions firm focused on digital transformation through building new applications utilizing the latest Cloud technology.
“This is a very exciting announcement,” said Jack Gulas, CEO of YoppWorks, in a news release. “We have experienced tremendous growth over the past year and joining the Improving team will provide us with the structure to continue to scale our business and to offer our customers new service offerings.
“The Improving culture is amazing and very similar to YoppWorks and I see this as a 1+1=3 for all our team members and customers,” added Gulas, an Ottawa-born serial entrepreneur who launched Yoppworks in 2016.

The transaction is expected to increase Improving’s annualized revenue significantly, resulting in a collective annualized revenue exceeding US$200 million, and will further expand its geographic reach within the Canadian market. Terms of the acquisition were not released.

The YoppWorks leadership team will remain intact and continue to operate and grow the business, while having access to the services provided by Improving’s collective offerings. Improving has 10 offices across the U.S., two in Canada and two in Mexico.
