Tourism plans are getting underway in Eastern Ontario after many events were cancelled during the pandemic years.
The Ontario Festival of Small Halls will offer intimate live music concerts in small communities across eastern Ontario in May in a bid to attract long-awaited tourism throughout the region.
Big names like Ashley MacIsaac, Chris Murphy and Great Lake Swimmers will headline the “eclectic” festival, which features Canadian artists in unique, small venues and brings local music to more rural areas “with musical mavericks, trusty veterans and some remarkable newcomers,” said Anna Wood, general manager of the festival, in a news release.
