Techopia Live: Flick gets in the game with Northern Forge

Are you ready to don a suit of armour, brandish medieval weapons, explore dungeons and slay dragons? If so, be sure to check out Ottawa-based mobile gaming developer Northern Forge Studios. 

The studio recently caught the attention of serial entrepreneur Jason Flick, who was looking for new projects after vacating the CEO chair at You.i TV. Flick, a Pokémon GO enthusiast, stumbled across Northern Forge game Orna, a GPS role-playing game. 

Flick was shocked to learn the game’s developer was located in his hometown. Now a co-founder at Northern Forge, Flick is drawing on his entrepreneurial savvy to scale the company. So far, so good. Orna has been downloaded more than 2.3 million times and has more games coming online.
