Spartan Bioscience announced Tuesday Sean Tomalty has been appointed vice-president of manufacturing.
Mr. Tomalty was most recently at Abbott Point of Care, where he was plant director of a 500,000-square-foot facility that manufactured medical devices. He has also had stops at JDSU and Nortel in his 30-year career.
Spartan CEO Paul Lem said Mr. Tomalty has deep expertise in medical device manufacturing and will be an excellent addition to the Spartan team.
Kanata North’s biggest mix n’ mingle event is almost here: in a few more than six weeks, it’s the Discover Technata Career Fair.
“He will play a key role in the production of Spartan’s DNA devices and tests,” Mr. Lem said in a statement.
Mr. Tomalty, a Carleton mechanical engineering and Queen’s business grad, will be tasked with leading the manufacturing of Spartan’s DNA diagnostic devices and tests.
