What’s your hobby? Keeping our property trimmed of any dead trees, burning the resulting debris and generally being “productive” outside (yes, I have a burn permit).
What’s your favourite thing about Ottawa? CBC Radio One’s Ottawa Morning show because Doug (Hempstead) is hilarious; the underdog extra effort that businesses in this city show; and being in the nation’s capital.

If you took a staycation in Ottawa, what would you do? Set up at the Westin and walk miles in every direction with a list of restaurants to explore.
What’s your favourite business event or conference in Ottawa? The annual Lumière gala at the Brookstreet Hotel. It really is “the” event that draws so many people I should see more often.
What’s your favourite meeting or convention venue? Shaw Centre, in part because it is so awesome compared to how terrible the prior structure was.
Where do you get your hair cut? Hazem’s Barber Shop in Barrhaven
What’s your favourite thing to do in Ottawa to pamper yourself? Finding some weird cut of meat and putting it on my smoker for eight hours. It means I’m staying at home and not running around doing tasks.
