Biggest obstacle overcome: Getting out of my professional, emotional and personal comfort zone multiple times – for example, when I went to Sweden to get my master’s degree, left Sweden to come to Canada for my PhD and later moved to Ottawa to join a startup as the first paid employee.
Biggest influence: It’s hard to choose one person; Nikola Tesla and his passion for universal energy access have been a constant source of inspiration to me.
Most important lesson I’ve learned in business: Know your audience.
