After attracting 300 startup applicants from Toronto, Montreal and its home base in Kanata, the L-Spark enterprise software incubator announced Monday six Ottawa startups have been selected to enter the incubator immediately.
Mydoma Studio, Cliniconex, Advantage Connect Pro, Zination, Punchtime and Target Fuel were selected from the 13 startups that advanced to a pitchfest held late last month.
The pitchfest selection committee included representatives from Microsoft, the Business Development Bank of Canada, IBM, OpenText, the Capital Angel Network, Naavon Capital and Wesley Clover International.

Over the next four months, the six startups will be given the L-Spark hands-on treatment, each paired one-on-one with an experienced mentor to support each company’s executive team. They will get opportunities to pitch for seed financing and meet with L-Spark partners such as Google, Microsoft, Citrix, OpenText, Mitel and IBM.
