After considering 175 applicants, Kanata-based L-Spark has selected nine startups for its incubator’s second cohort, the organization announced Wednesday.
Fourteen finalists attended a pitchfest in January. While L-Spark expected to accept a maximum of eight startups, it ended up oversubscribing, with the companies coming from Montreal, Waterloo, Toronto and Ottawa.
“The L-Spark team found some of the most promising startups from across Canada to join their next cohort,” Real Ventures’ Alexandre Shee said in a statement. “The quality of the businesses was of the highest levels.”
