“Over the last seven years, Heineken Escapade Music Festival has significantly grown thanks to the continued support of the Ottawa community,” DNA Live director of partnerships Ali Shafaee said in a statement. “To us the festival is about more than music; it’s about the people. We’re excited to take it to the next level and reach an even wider audience with new events and charity partnerships in 2016.”
The expanded programming will include a movie night on the beach on June 27, a charity golf tournament for the CHEO Foundation on June 28, and a charity ball hockey tournament at the EY Centre on June 29 with proceeds going to the Ottawa Senators Foundation.
On June 30, the Heineken Escapade Club Series promises to bring some of the world’s biggest electronic artists to Ottawa nightclubs, and the programming wraps up with on Canada Day with a live concert in a ByWard Market parking lot.
The festival has drawn more than 30,000 people over its first six years. Tickets for the 2016 festival go on sale Nov. 25.
