An outlet mall proposed for the Ottawa’s west end is one step closer to being built, as councillors on the city’s planning committee gave their go-ahead to the proposal at a Tuesday meeting.
U.S. retailer Tanger Outlet Centers has teamed with a number of local firms to bring the pedestrian mall to a site close to Scotiabank Place. They are also planning on building several restaurants and a hotel.
A full meeting of city council will be responsible for giving the final approval for the proposal.
