While the Christmas Cheer Breakfast is a popular way in Ottawa to welcome the holiday season, the event is also a significant fundraiser.

This year’s theme honoured the 25th anniversary of Trees of Hope, a popular fundraiser that has, to date, raised more than $1.2 million for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). 

Most people know Christie Lake Kids as a free overnight summer camp full of adventure and outdoor fun, but what some people don’t know is that it’s much s’more than that.

The event, which involved more than 70 invited guests, was held at the non-profit organization’s gently used clothing boutique.
