Finding a naming rights partner was a priority for the city, owners of the ballpark on Coventry Road. Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton signed a multi-year agreement for the exclusive naming rights to the facility.
“Our commitment to the local community in Ottawa aligns very well with the Champions’ focus on our city and we are excited to have our name associated with Ottawa’s professional baseball brand,” the firm’s vice-president of the Ottawa and Outaouais regions, Jean Schnob said in a statement.
The city is investing $2 million in renovations to the stadium ahead of first pitch May 22.
The naming rights deal is the latest for the club, which has also inked agreements with Gabriel Pizza, SamBat Corporation, Kichesippi Brewery and the Clock Tower Brew Pub. The team says it is currently in negotiations for other local partnerships to create a superior family and fan experience this summer.
