Commuters heading home Thursday afternoon on the Confederation Line should be prepared for delays and replacement bus service as a train has stalled at St. Laurent Station with no word on a timeline for repair.
OC Transpo head John Manconi said in a memo Thursday that the overhead wire that powers the train had broken at the station. Later at a press conference, representatives from Rideau Transit Maintenance and OC Transpo said that 80 metres of wire fell onto the train as it arrived. No injuries were reported.
Before RTM can determine a cause and conduct repairs for the incident, the train itself will have to be moved from the station.
