Ottawa Senators players stepped off the ice and into crisp suits at the Senators Soirée gala Saturday evening, which aims to get youth in the Ottawa area the support they need to participate in sports.
More than 550 people attended the annual fundraising event, a partnership of the Sens hockey club and the Ottawa Senators Foundation with sponsors Ferguslea Properties and Bell.
Attendees raised $238,715 through the event, which was boosted by a silent auction that included such items as a safari excursion in South Africa, a video game battle with two members of the Sens roster and a chance to appear in the Senators’ official 2019-20 team photo.
