An Ottawa coffee chain will soon serve commuters at four light-rail transit stations along the Confederation Line.
The city announced Thursday that Happy Goat Coffee Co. will set up shop at the Tunney’s Pasture, Rideau, Hurdman and Blair stations early next year.
The local retailer has secured a five-year lease on retail space in the prime commuter thoroughfares, which are expected to see upwards of 10,000 passengers per hour at peak travel periods.

Celebrating 10 years of the Ottawa REDBLACKS
Ottawa’s CFL team is celebrating its 10 year anniversary in 2024. Roger Greenberg tells us what it took to make the CFL’s capital city team a success.
“We are thrilled and honoured to have been selected as the suppliers of coffee and refreshments for Ottawa’s amazing new LRT line. We’re looking forward to helping shape better mornings and great days for Ottawa commuters, with gourmet coffee and locally-made food, served at the speed of O-Train,” said Happy Goat president and CEO Henry Assad in a statement.
Happy Goat has five other locations under its umbrella across the city and last year acquired Arlington Five in Centretown from longtime restaurateur Ion Aimers. The company has more than 100 wholesale customers in addition to its retail locations.
