Kanata-based L-Spark is taking some space at Algonquin College to make its mark on the post-secondary institution’s entrepreneurship programs and connect students to opportunities with the accelerator’s companies.
The two organizations announced Tuesday morning that Algonquin College will make room for L-Spark in its DARE District, the college’s dedicated entrepreneurship space. L-Spark will play a mentoring role to students enrolled in Algonquin’s business and entrepreneurship programs.
In addition, students will have access to co-op placements with L-Spark portfolio companies and volunteer opportunities at the accelerator’s events such as SaaS North. A release states that both organizations will work together to encourage the development of SaaS firms within the Algonquin College School of Business and the wider Ottawa ecosystem.
