Hydro Ottawa is committed to staying at the forefront of “green” energy and non-polluting technologies. While our hydroelectric operations at Chaudière Falls receive the most attention, our portfolio of green power generation is diverse, and also includes two innovative landfill gas-to-energy facilities.
Each year, these sites combine to produce enough energy to power over 10,000 homes, and divert more than 280,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions from escaping into the atmosphere.
